Lincoln Highway Baptist Church

Named for a road built for the common man to reach the country.

The Lincoln Highway was laid down in 1913 as the first transcontinental road in America, enabling common people to reach the entire nation. Named after the "Great Emancipator", Abraham Lincoln, the highway is meant to symbolize and exercise freedom. Our goal, as common people, is to reach America with the gospel of Jesus Christ, who made us free from sin.

Who we are

Who we are

Mission

The mission of the local church is to edify the believer and reach the whole world for Christ. We mean to reach lost men and women by reproducing reproducers through the ministry of one on one discipleship. Discipleship is in our DNA and is a part of everything we do.

Vision

To continue down a common road, laid before us by common men, so that communities of common people have free and unfettered access to the Word of God.

Sent

Lincoln Highway Baptist Church is a new work, sent out in 2026 from First Baptist Church of Jackson in Massillon, OH. We are independent and Baptist by conviction.

Go.

Go follow after Christ. Go take up your cross. Go take His Word from coast to coast. Go take it to the places that aren't easy to reach. Go take it on the highways and byways. Go.

What we believe

Stated plainly, before you visit.

We would rather you know exactly what you are walking into.

  • The ScripturesThe Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. Sixty-six books, the only complete and final authority for faith and practice.
  • GodOne true God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection.
  • Jesus ChristConceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived without sin, died in the place of sinners, rose bodily the third day, and ascended.
  • SalvationA gift of God, by grace, through personal faith in Christ alone. The new birth is instantaneous rather than a process, and the believer is eternally secure.
  • The ChurchA living body with Christ as its Head. The local church is a congregation of baptized believers joined by covenant to worship, to disciple, and to go.
  • The OrdinancesBaptism by immersion, once, after faith. The Lord's Supper, kept as a memorial by born-again members of the church.
  • Things to ComeChrist will take the church to Himself before the Tribulation, then return personally, bodily and visibly to establish His kingdom.
  • SeparationBelievers from worldly practice, the church from false teaching, and the church from the state.

Ed Kramer

Senior Pastor

Ed grew up in Lower Salem, Ohio, but spent his formative years in River Falls, Wisconsin, where he earned a technical diploma in Dairy Herd Management. At the age of 23, Ed surrendered his life to the Lord, moved to Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and began attending the First Baptist Church of New Philadelphia under the pastorate of Mark Trotter.

In 2008, Ed began attending the First Baptist Church of Jackson, where he served in various ministries: Children's Ministry, the Junior High, Adult Sunday School, Young Marrieds, and as a Deacon. He completed four years of ministry training, graduating from the Jackson Bible Institute and School of Ministry in 2023.

After working in the agriculture industry for nearly 15 years as a Dairy Cattle Nutrition Consultant, Ed surrendered to the call on his life and entered full-time vocational ministry. He was ordained a Baptist minister on August 30, 2026, and was sent out as the founding pastor of Lincoln Highway Baptist Church.

Pastor Ed and his wife Kerri have three children, Sawyer, Major and Quinn.
